La Confiance butter speculoos with cocoa nibs from farmer José from Peru

The recipe of this speculoos is also based on our family recipe from 1924. Just like for our original speculoos, we use only the best organic ingredients: real butter, carefully selected spices and wheat from farmer Thibault. To this basic recipe, we add organic cocoa nibs, little pieces of pure cocoa beans, 100% from farmer José. We show you his picture on our packaging and share his story below.

In the tropical climate of Peru, José grows the most delicate cocoa beans in the world, organic of course... On his fair trade plantation, José takes great care of his Criollo cocoa beans. Harvested and dried under the Peruvian sun, these organic beans develop their intense aroma. These pieces of pure cocoa give even more punch to our Belgian speculoos!
